This handbook is an indispensable tool for parent educators in their work with families. It looks at "parent education” in the widest sense of strengthening parents' ability to fill their parenting role. The ideas in this handbook can be applied very broadly, with special emphasis on the issues that arise working with parents in facilitated groups that meet over several weeks or months.
If you are new to working with groups of parents, you will find useful advice and guidelines to get you started on the right foot. If you already have considerable experience, you will find sections that invite you to reflect on how to increase your impact.

PEPS is a parent support model that mobilizes parents with young children who may be isolated or need encouragement. The project involved training, professional development and support for PEPs groups. Check out the PEPS page to find out more about PEPS, the project, or to arrange training in your community.
